Malton’s Meadowfest returns with a bang!

After a two-year hiatus, Malton’s summer boutique music festival returned with a bang on Saturday 31st July, with 2,750 happy festivalgoers flocking to Yorkshire’s Food Capital to enjoy live music and fun for the whole family.

Tom Naylor-Leyland, Festival Director, commented:

“It’s fair to say that Meadowfest 2021 was a great success! A lot of patience and preparation has gone into bringing our summer boutique music festival back to life. It was very poignant to hear live music once again coming from The Talbot Hotel grounds and to see so many happy people dancing at the beautiful riverside meadows.

“Our line-up did an absolutely fantastic job, as proven by the number of festival-goers whose spirits were not dampened as they sustained the party atmosphere, even during the downpours of rain in the afternoon. And despite the drizzle, we had a terrific turnout, and the dancing didn’t stop until the Lightning Seeds closed the show at 10pm. We’d like to thank everyone involved in organising this year’s Meadowfest, and of course, to everyone who came down and enjoyed the fun.

Now that the dust has settled, we’ll be turning our attention once again to our Food Lovers Festival at the end of August!”
