Are you feeling creative? Fancy trying to build your own? At this family friendly event. Andrew will demonstrate the assembly of the gingerbread houses in detail and give you a few tricks to help them stay up and stay strong. The event is all about having fun.
Everyone will take their house home once it is set a few days later, all wrapped up.

Christmas Live Music Charity Night - Cosy Cottage
Join us for a fun evening, meeting local Businesses, late night shopping and generally bringing Malton together, all whilst enjoying a glass of fizz and some nibbles from local businesses, whilst Listening to our amazing Guest performer 'Gary Stewart'.... Not only that; all customers can enjoy a 15% discount on all purchases throughout the night from the Cosy Cottage Shop.
Furthermore it's all in aid of Ryedale Special Families. An independent charity founded by parents with disabled children. Ryedale Special Families began in the early 1990’s when a group of 20 families of disabled children started to meet in their own homes in order to share challenges and experiences, as well as offer mutual support to each other.
Ryedale Special Families is a local charity that believe in the equal rights of disabled families and they work to uphold these rights and campaign to strengthen them. They also offer routes into local and national planning and make sure that the voices of families and young people with disabilities are clearly heard.
All ticket sales will be donated to Ryedale Special Families. A great charity if you ask me.
Not only that, Every ticket bought will be entered into a fantastic raffle, with prizes donated from our local independent shops along with some great cosy cottage products.

Ready to get hands–on and create something truly special? Join us for an unforgettable afternoon and evening of crafting and cuisine.
In this unique workshop, you’ll first meet Piers Edsall, an accomplished artist blacksmith from Environmental Art. At the new community hub, The Parish Project, Piers will guide you through the ancient art of blacksmithing. You’ll learn traditional techniques to hand–forge your very own set of cutlery.
Once your masterpiece is complete, we’ll head over to The Cook’s Place, where local legend Gilly Robinson will take the reins. Gilly, the owner and manager of this celebrated cookery school, will share some of her classic cooking secrets. You’ll put your new skills to the test and prepare a delicious dinner.
The evening culminates with a feast where you’ll use the very cutlery you forged to enjoy the meal you prepared, all while savouring a glass of fizz. It’s the perfect way to truly appreciate the fruits of your labour.

It’s that time of year again! We’re looking forward to our annual Christmas concert at the Milton Rooms, Thursday 4th December. We are being joined again by our community training band and some of the singers from Norton Primary School and we hope that you'll join us. This year we are raising much needed funds for our Bandroom repairs and appreciate your support.
