MALTON MUSEUM: LECTURE PROGRAMME 2025-2026

Thursday 15th October - Vic Jay

The Mallon Crew

A biography of a Lancaster crew. How seven men from New Zealand, Australia, Canada and England volunteered for the Air Force.  How chance brought them together to fly a Lancaster and what happened to them. "The Mallon Crew’ is the heart-breaking account of the devastating impact of the war on one Lancaster bomber crew. Vic Jay, a retired teacher, decided in 2012 simply to find out what his father had done in the war. He was staggered to discover a series of tragedies that was scarcely believable."
