Yemi Adelekan is a British-Nigerian private chef, food writer, and the creative force behind Yummy by Design and Knitting Flavours.
Her food reflects a rich tapestry of cultures – rooted in Nigerian heritage, shaped by global travels, and always designed to bring people together.
She was a Top 6 semi-finalist on MasterChef UK 2022, where her vibrant, soulful cooking captivated audiences and judges alike.
Today, she shares her culinary voice through private catering, cookery demos in food festivals across the country including the Great Yorkshire Show, her writing for The Stray Ferret, as a member of the Guild of Food Writers, and as a judge for The Taste Awards in America.
Through her event series, Yummy Gatherings, Yemi invites guests to experience flavour-forward supper clubs, intimate chef’s tables, brunches and soulful Sunday lunches.
