Devan was born and raised in Scarborough. She trained at Bodyworks in Cambridge on a full scholarship before performing professionally on several cruise lines for seven years. Between contracts, Devan toured China and the USA and made history as the first female group to perform in Saudi Arabia with Spirit of the Dance. Her teaching experience spans York College, SLP College in Leeds, Scarborough College, Scarborough Sixth Form College, PQA, Stagecoach, as well as workshops across the UK and China.
