Malton Whisky Society

“The craic is always terrible, but everyone is welcome! Just be sure to bring a sense of humour and book a ticket before hand!”

 

Launched officially in 2018 by McMillans of Malton, The Malton Whisky Society is a free to join group of whisky lovers. The aim is to take the pretence away from whisky and open it up to everyone to enjoy.

Located along Malton’s Market Place at The Library Bar, the Malton Whisky Society meets on the last Tuesday of the month for talks and tastings with industry experts from distillers to distributors and more.

Each meet, you can enjoy 4-6 whiskies (and occasionally other spirits) from different distilleries and countries around the world.

Meet the Experts

In addition to the events being hosted by McMillans of Malton proprietors, father and son team, Jim and James, an expert from a distillery or distributor will give a talk about the whisky too.

A Good Ol’ Yorkshire Supper

McMillans of Malton have teamed up with The Cook’s Place, Malton’s fabulous cookery school, to make sure that you don’t go hungry!
