Skelf Island - Adventure Playground at Castle Howard

Magically inhabited by the otherworldly Skelves, this new addition to Castle Howard encourages children to reconnect with nature & learn through play the importance of the environment around them. Access to Skelf Island is included within the Gardens Admission ticket which can be purchased on site or via the Castle Howard website to receive a 10% discount. 

Kids Cookery Classes At Malton Cookery School

Kids cookery classes are a perfect place for children to find their inner. Chef with a range of courses to cater to most ages, your little one can gain confidence and new skills cooking healthy and declines dishes in a fun a relaxed environment!

Story Time at Malton Library

Malton Library has a selection of services available to children and their parents/carers, such as a drop-in storytime for under 5's that is held every Wednesday during term-time, from 2.15 - 3pm.

The library also holds workshops during the school holidays.
